My C50T Pre goodies. |
I created this blog to journal my adventures, mod's to the bike etc. I have already ordered some stuff.
- Powerlet Powerbar kit. This way I can plug in the iPhone and use it as a GPS.
- Drivers backup back rest.
How did I get into this? Well its an interesting story. Many years ago growing up in the Poconos my father bought me an Arctic mini bike like this one.
Not my bike but the same model. Loved this little bike. It had a little 50cc motor and was a blast to ride for a little kid. |
Some time in the late 80's early 90's A good friend suggested that we get dirt bikes to ride the trails in the Poconos. So I bought a 1984 Kawasaki KDX 200. That adventure lasted a few years and then Nothing.......
The usual life stuff happened. Jobs, Moves, then Kids etc.

Then in 2011 while with the childhood Pocono buds on a sailing trip to Martha's Vineyard. (sounds kinda pretentious huh?) We rented scooters to tour the island. I was hooked again! When I came home I bought a Piaggio Fly 150 scooter to take little trips to the gym and have a little fun around town. I needed to get my Motorcycle endorsement because the scooter was over 50 cc. So I enrolled in the MSF Basic Rider Course. I was not riding scooters but little Suzuki GS125's during the course. This of course got me thinking....hmmm "wonder if I will want a bigger bike?" Well after the first 1000 miles on the scooter, in only 5 months. ( bought it in November 2011)
I knew I wanted to get a bigger bike.

So that brings us to today and the story of this blog. I am getting a Suzuki C50T Boulevard. To say that I have been obsessing about this for the past 4 months in an understatement. I have been on a number of blogs, forums, web sites reading and studying about the bike an potential modifications. Also shopping and shopping and shopping. So now the adventure begins.
